It was really PRO! And how much we played!
On 27 March, I had the opportunity to participate in the LudiNord Pro exhibition with a stand and the Changification workshop.
LudinordPRO is the first French exhibition dedicated to using serious play to improve organizational practices.
I presented the PLAYNBE® facilitation approach, based on the combination of serious play, applied neurosciences, and creative techniques, to solve complex problems quickly and innovatively.
And indeed, we did not stop PLAYING for :
👉 Promote the LEGO®SERIOUSPLAY® method by creating ducks, ducks, and ducks for all the curious people passing by the stand!
The aim was to show the power of creative confidence in acting on reality and the importance of using bricks as metaphors to facilitate communication. In short, the basics of the method. Thank you to all the brave builders!
👉 👉 Experiencing the effects of change through embodied cognition (the ability of the body and senses to understand reality)!
My Changification workshop was fully booked: through a series of playful activities, I gradually accompanied the participants to discover the cognitive and emotional aspects at stake when dealing with change. We had a lot of fun, and it was surprising for most people to discover how much easier we understand through movement games! 🤸♂️ 🤸♀️
👉 👉 👉 Showing aspiring facilitators and trainers how to turn playful tools into powerful allies!
Buzzers for quizzes, Dixit cards, and dices are very effective group management tools to make exchanges smoother. The ’emotion trunk’ is an easy way to unlock sudden emotions during group work.
I also had the chance to meet top Game Scientists such as Philippe Lépinard and Julian Alvarez, colleagues from Formacube, Le Fil à Bascule, Jerome Boquet, and our neighbors from Carsat des Hauts de France with their serious game Risk Hour.
🙏 Thanks to everyone who got curious and stopped by the stand to touch, test and ask us questions!
A BIG THANK YOU to the organizing team for all these good times, made possible by their energy and professionalism (PRO in every sense!).
What, you think all this is not serious?
Instead, play is increasingly important in organizations, and creative playfulness is a crucial future competence. As the leadership consulting institute, Boston Consulting Group states:
“We don’t usually think of play as an essential part of business, but when we look closely at the dynamics of play and what play can do for business, we see its true importance… In any case, the more our environment deviates from orderly stability, the more we must cultivate playfulness.”
The PLAYNBE® approach playfully facilitates working groups, putting participants at the center of the process and accelerating goal-oriented exchanges. Analyzing complex situations, collaborating towards a goal, making difficult decisions, and finding new solutions in a creative and resourceful way, have become more accessible thanks to the dynamics of play.
Play creates a situation of psychological safety that allows for more sincere exchanges, frees talents, and allows for safe experimentation. For this reason, despite learning difficulty, Playnbe workshops accelerate team dynamics towards empowerment (autonomy and resourcefulness).
If you would like to learn more about organizing your next workshop in an engaging way, if you need to solve complex problems in a limited time by leveraging collective intelligence, or if you wish to improve your internal training and facilitation practices, we are at your disposal!
